A nebula is usually a giant cloud of dust and gas in space often thrown out by a dying star. The Eagle Nebula is a young open cluster of stars discovered by Jean Phillipe De Cheseaux in 1745. The nebula contains several active gas and dust forming stars. The Eagle Nebula is in the Sagittarius Arm of the Milky Way. My painting is a depiction of The Eagle Nebula.
