The Big Bang in the painting is when it all started. The God Particle as it is often referred to, Was a small dot in space. It is believed that a universe before ours contracted into a tiny part of space. The sphere contracted into a dense compact unit. Residual active protons, neutrons, and electrons at an atomic level needed to express themselves resulting in the Big Bang which was a flush of hot particles bursting into space creating our universe now. My painting portrays the initial millisecond of the burst, which to my mind would have looked like this.
